I grew up in Haliewa, Hawaii and moved to the Chicago area in 1969. I am one of eighteen authors who wrote the group novel, “Don’t Die Mr. Opal, Oklahoma Needs You,” published in 2006. My poem, Dead Orchids, was painted by Catie Barron in 2013 and is the title of my recently released Book of Poetry. I am actively working on a collection of short stories and a mystery novel.
